grrr…a-holes!
Wednesday, July 9th, 2003We are selling Angela’s ‘89 Ford Probe, and we have it sitting in a lot with a For Sale sign on it with her cell phone number as the number to call.
Well Saturday she got two odd messages on her cell phone about the car. The first was from an interested buyer named Dave who left his number, and said he was interested in buying the car. Then ten minutes later another call came in, from a blocked phone number, and the voice sounded a lot like the previous caller. Only this time the guy was pissed:
Well I don’t consider this acceptable behavior, so we headed down to the Cotati Police Dept. and reported the incident. Officer Burns helped us out, and called the last number personally, and questioned the lady on the other end. Interestingly there was no Dave at that residence, and no one there was interested in buying a car.
So it is not really clear who called, or why, probably just some kids messing around, but Officer Burns filed an incident report, and had a patrol cruise by the lot where the car is that evening to deter any vandals. We haven’t received anymore nasty messages, so that is a good sign.
